Chapter 174: It’s not over yet? (1)

Seiya, who had turned into a Berserker, approached Bunos at a tremendous speed while holding a gun. Although Bunos had increased his defense power due to his Orc Superior, he didn’t seem to be fast enough. He let out a surprised voice, 「Huh!? 」 when he realized that Seiya was approaching him. Without wasting any time, Seiya held his left palm in front of Bunos’ face as if to blind him, and at the same time pointed the gun he held in his right hand at Bunos’ large belly. A deafening gunshot echoed.

「Did you just shoot him up close!? 」

I couldn’t help but scream. That’s because Seiya dived into Bunos’ bosom and fired a bullet. What? Weren’t guns meant to be shot farther away from the enemy!?

Seiya immediately kept a distance while keeping an eye on Bunos who was crouching down while holding his stomach. But Seiya seemed to have heard my voice and said in a slightly irritated tone.

「There are only two bullets in this gun, so I fired close enough to ensure a hit. For that same reason, I aimed at Bunos’ large abdomen instead of his head. 」

「Is…Is that so? Ah…but…」

I thought it was Seiya’s typical tactic to get as close as possible to avoid missing one of those bullets. Even so…

「What kind of crap are you talking about, Terrorista! It’s a good thing that he got it right! 」

「Yeah! Bunos seems to be suffering! 」

Eich and Celseus looked at Bunos, who was holding his stomach and groaning, and said those words. However, I had an ominous feeling due to my past experiences.

…Seiya said he only had two bullets in that gun!! That was an incredibly low number, especially for Seiya!!

However, my thoughts ended without finding an answer. Bunos began laughing, even with sweat dripping from his forehead.

「Bu…buhahaha! I almost got startled because of youuuu! It didn’t hurt that muchhhhh! 」

「No…No way!! It’s not working on that guy!! Was the bullet absorbed by his body fat!? 」

「Even Mister Seiya’s gun didn’t work…」

Eich looked astonished, and Colt also pressed his lips. But then, it happened.

「Ugh!? 」

Bunos’ painful scream resonated. I understood why he screamed the moment I saw him. The abdomen that was shot by Seiya had swelled to the point that it was tearing his tuxedo!

「Se…Seiya!? What’s happening!? 」

「I applied the power of the Destruction Technique. When the bullet hits and enters the body, it spreads out like thorns, causing severe damage to the target. 」

「In other words, Mister Seiya. Is that bullet transforming inside the target’s body in order to cause damage? 」

「Correct. 」

Seiya nodded to Colt. Bunos crouched down again while holding his stomach with a disturbed expression on his face. However, the swelling in his abdomen eventually subsided. 「Ahahah」 Bunos screamed happily with his mouth curling into a grin. He…He endured that horrible pain! The transforming magic bullet created by Seiya didn’t work!

「…It’s not over yet. 」

Seiya muttered, and on that moment, I was utterly shocked! That’s because an earth snake crawled out of Bunos’ abdomen!

「Huhhhhhhhh!? 」

Bunos yelled in surprise! However, I was also surprised!

「Is an earth snake coming out of his abdomen!? Why!? 」

Colt, and not Seiya, reacted to my words.

「I see…! Are you using two layers of magical power inside that bullet? 」

「A second layer!? Colt, what do you mean!? 」

「Mister Seiya combined the power of the Destruction Technique he mentioned earlier with Earth Magic and inserted it into the bullet. What if he couldn’t defeat Bunos with just gunfire? Mister Seiya must’ve thought about it and added a mechanism to inflict double damage. To put it simply, the bullet transforms into a thorn that rips the belly and an earth snake that devours its stomach. 」

「I…I see! Seiya’s specialty is “reassurance” after all! 」

Colt’s explanation made sense to me. Additionally, the discomfort I felt earlier had disappeared. The number of bullets in that gun was too small for someone like Seiya. However, that was because those bullets were special ones sealed with an extremely powerful magic.

「Impossible…How can it be…! 」

…Eh!?

Father Luke’s trembling voice startled me. So I looked immediately at Bunos. Bunos’ abdomen, which had been torn apart by several earth snakes, had regenerated! The large wound had closed, and his big belly looked like it was never harmed in the first place! Instead, Seiya’s earth snakes disappeared as if they had withered!

「I endured itttttttttt!! I really endured itttttttttt!! 」

Bunos roared proudly.

「I’ll praise you for making such an interesting bullettttt!! However, it seems that you failed as you couldn’t break down my defenseeeee!! 」

「It…It’s his…Orc Superior! 」

Father Luke let out a cry of horror. Nevertheless.

「…It’s not over yet. 」

Seiya muttered just like before. In an instant, Bunos’ abdomen turned red and caught fire! The flames coming out of Bunos’ abdomen covered his entire body!

「Huhhhhhhhh!? 」

「This…This time he got wrapped in flames!? 」

When I shouted, Seiya explained in a slightly louder voice than usual.

「The bullet doesn’t have two layers. It’s double that number. The magical power inside the bullet has four layers. 」

「Fo…Four layers!! That means such powerful magic will be activated inside Bunos’ body a total of four times!? 」

「You’re kidding! That’s impossible! 」

Engineer Caron raised his voice in the middle of my words.

「It may be possible in theory! But if you put that much magical power into it, the bullet will turn into a big bullet that resembles a rocket gun! How on earth could he do that with that small bullet? 」

「I…I’m wondering about that too. There’s a limit to the magical power that can be inserted into a bullet. As Mister Seiya has said, even if we were to somehow seal away the magical power into four layers, the force of each layer would be insignificant and powerless. But…」

While speaking, Colt looked at Bunos with a strange look on his face. Bunos’ body was now burning fiercely, as if he had been hit directly by one of Seiya’s Fire Magic skills, Hell’s Fire. Caron distorted his eyebrows with an extremely incomprehensible expression on his face.
