Seiya, with one arm, walked away from me and looked at Leon.

「I knew it. Duke Leon is a tough opponent. In a way, he’s a larger barrier in Twisted Exfolia than Artema Menace, our final target to annihilate. I’ve been preparing carefully for this battle…」

Leon glared at Seiya while gathering his explosive aura.

「Preparing? Volt Prediction is like a sixth sense. It is beyond human comprehension…it’s an “attack beyond reason”. You can’t prepare for it. It is beyond your scope of deduction. 」

With one arm and cornered by Leon, Seiya looked at Leon and said the following words.

「Perfectly Ready. 」

Leon asked curiously as Seiya said his usual line.

「What’s that? 」

「Right before you activated Volt Prediction, you looked at me and said, “Lock on”. That means your attack prediction skill only works on me. 」

「Yeah. As you’ve guessed, the attack prediction skill is limited to you. So what’s the problem? The only person I feel threatened by is you. 」

「Volt Prediction is so powerful that it’s a target-limited skill that only affects the one person it targets. I see a solution right there. 」

「You damn fool. No matter how cautious you are, there’s no way you can deal with such an unreasonable attack like mine. 」

Leon spat out. Seiya suddenly relaxed his stance and lowered his holy sword, Egzation.

「I’m prepared for unreasonable attacks. 」

「Ahh? 」

Leon asked again. Celseus’ trembling voice resonated next to me.

「Do…Do you mean you’re planning to activate the Daunting Pose again and use me as your shield…!?」

I understood that Celseus was anxious. Seiya learned the otherworldly technique, Daunting Pose, from the Underworld people. But I wasn’t sure if it could 100% block the deadly skill, Killer Volt.

「You’re making big claims, but it seems your solution is only defense. Do you think it will work the same way as when you blocked Electro Bit? 」

Leon acted confidently. However, Seiya turned his gaze to me, not to Celseus, and muttered.

「…Lista. It’s your turn. 」

My heart pounded loudly in an instant.

…He…He really said it…! It…It was my turn! It was the time for me to do something…!

I remembered what Seiya told me in Tarmine.

『Anyway, your gun is a last resort…no, it’s the very last resort. I don’t want to use it, but it’s a last resort measure in our defense against Leon. Practice with that in mind. Got it? 』

…Seiya had imagined a predicament like this! What if Leon somehow managed to block his attacks? And what if a third party attacked Leon in Seiya’s place!

Of course, the third party was me. Leon glared at me.

「Isn’t that the Healing Magic user that treated you earlier? 」

I put my hand into my chest, where my heart was beating hard. Then, I took out the gun that Colt had given me. Leon reacted immediately.

「Oh. You can use a gun too. 」

Leon’s husky voice made me even more nervous. Seiya stepped between me and Leon in order to shield me. Then, he held Egzation with his left hand as if to defend me.

「Lista, I’ll draw his attention. Shoot Leon while I’m doing that. 」

「I…I…I got it! 」

I aimed at Leon with the gun I held with trembling hands.
