Chapter 504: The Shining Thing
The giant sun shined down on people’s skin. Someone was dripping sweat and moving their tongue as if seeking moisture. At this stage, some people finally began to notice.
It felt strangely hot even though it was the era of death snow.
I suddenly looked up at the sky. There, clouds of death snow were standing there as if it were natural, and the great sunlight that cleared them was enshrined.
Usually, this light brought joy and blessings to people. But it would be no different from poison if you got too close.
The fate of those who came into contact with the sun was always decided. They would either meet a destructive end or become monsters.
The sound of people groaning in the heat became the sound of footsteps as the pseudo sun slowly approached the earth. Water evaporated and skin burned. There was no point in thinking about what would happen if it fell.
But when the heavens showed their cruel side, the earth also became hell, as if in harmony.
The voices of soldiers rang out loudly.
「…Everyone don’t stop! Keep moving! 」
A threat had manifested before the soldiers and the humans.
Crawling across the ground, intent on devouring everything, was the magical devilish being Poisonous Junelva. Poison extended from both his arms and took the form of a multi-headed dragon that crushed the earth.
Dragons were the symbol of the savagery that Junelva believed in. Junelva knew the strongest dragon. There had never been anything it couldn’t devour.
That feeling remained the same to this day. That’s why Junelva was still alive.
The dragon became a flood, swallowing up part of the vast amount of magic and sandstorm. Junelva could see the shock of the sorcerer and demon eyed beast.
At the same time, a lightning spear pierced Junelva’s left chest, and sand tangled around his limbs, trying to hold them together. He couldn’t help but chuckle. Something similar has happened many times in the past.
Killing a magical devilish was hard work. Everyone thought that the only way to was to try to deliver a single killing attack. Although only a few were able to do so.
But it was too late now. Everything would be over afterwards.
…The great human sorcerer and the demonic eyed beast that had not managed to die would die here soon.
Junelva muttered to himself. There was perhaps more loneliness than relief. In a way, that loneliness was close to his roots.
Junelva couldn’t bring himself to like this feeling of those who knew him, those who had become close to him, leaving. This feeling was born from within even if he felt unbearable hatred for the other person.
The death of the strong was always unbearable.
The now poisonous dragon opened its jaws wide and showed its fangs. Every drop that spilled from its jaws was deadly poison for both humans and demons alike. A bite would naturally be fatal.
And the two of them were in an offensive position, so there was no way they could intercept it. Even if they evaded, Junelva would pursue and kill them.
With even more conviction, Junelva pushed it with both arms. At that moment, it hit the necks of Mastigius and Doha Surah, who twisted their bodies slightly.
「…!」
His vision was obscured. He didn’t know what happened. But he instinctively raised both arms while invoking the poisonous dragon. The sensation of piercing flesh spread through Junelva’s hands, but he wasn’t sure that he had taken their lives.
After a moment, Junelva’s vision cleared, and he saw what was hiding in front of him.
「…Charge! This is where the true worth of a soldier is tested! Prove that you’re no coward! 」
The soldiers who were hiding in the houses on either side, probably including the sorcerer soldiers who had cast magic on Junelva earlier, were now rushing towards Junelva, pointing their spears at him.
How foolish. Are they out of their minds? Junelva’s eyes widened ferociously. He couldn’t believe that humanity was attacking a magical devilish being.
And they were no heroes, no brave warriors, no demons.
Filled with magical power, Junelva was a mass of poison, and weaklings like them would melt at a single touch. In fact, it was their shattered flesh and blood that obscured Junelva’s vision.
「What are…What are you doing? You fools! 」
It was a roar from the bottom of Junelva’s heart. He never had thought that a battle like this would be sullied by such weak soldiers.
More than anything, he couldn’t understand it.
Certainly, there were many who would recklessly take on magical devilish beings. But no one would come at them after seeing the vast difference in power.
That’s just because they were fools. And there were only fools here.
「Protect His Excellency the General, comrades! Only we can do it! Kill that poisonous dragon now! 」
The soldiers seemed to have had a dream. Enthusiasm was born in their eyes, and they had almost forgotten what it meant to be afraid
It could even be called a rampage. They were engulfed in the whirlpool of enthusiasm and died. More than half were already dead. How many more could survive?
But as a result, the sorcerer and the demonic eyed beast lived.
「I can never be grateful enough. Humans have changed quite a bit. 」
A large amount of sand grabbed Junelva’s limbs. The eyes of the one who was once the supreme magical beast couldn’t kill the magical devilish being, but it could temporarily capture it.
His body was slightly eroded by the poison. Even so, it was impressive that he was still able to use his authority.
And he could approach once Junelva stopped moving and released his magical power.
「…Magical devilish being Junelva. Let’s settle this. Even if my body is completely destroyed, you will die together with me. I’m happy to join the sleeping bed on the battlefield with my soldiers. 」
Mastigius, with blood showing at his mouth, grabbed Junelva’s skull. The soldiers still pointed their spears at the magical devilish being and shouted that they would stand with the general.
Things changed when they changed. Junelva muttered in his heart, as if crying.
Junelva didn’t know of a battle in which the weak stood up to demons. Because demons didn’t do such things.
The weak were those who fled, those who were scattered, those who weren’t even suitable for a supporting role on stage.
It was always the strong that Junelva faced and locked his fangs with. That was why he loved the strong and hated the weak who fled.
Those weak were now on stage, facing him.
I see. Junelva sighed and muttered as his skull was gripped. Sand tangled around his limbs, and the tips of the soldiers’ spears were pointed at Junelva. The other demons couldn’t join this battle.
「You’ve really…gotten stronger. 」
In an instant, an “alteration” occurred.
Junelva’s vision became greatly distorted. He felt a dull pain and a sharp pain at the same time, and he swallowed a pain he had not felt since becoming a magical devilish being. It isn’t so bad, Junelva thought.
Pain was proof that those who he had despised and hated as weak had become strong.
Even though most of Junelva’s organs and blood vessels had stopped functioning, he didn’t die. Magic connected his nerves, maintaining his consciousness.
Junelva felt warm blood splashing over his body. There was no need to ask whose blood it was. Mastigius had already exceeded his limits. It wouldn’t be strange if he collapsed on the spot right now.
The same was true for Doha Surah. No matter how much their hands were thrown off, they weren’t able to avoid all of the poisonous dragon spikes.
Humanity, who appeared to have been cornered, also had no time to spare. In other words, if they could endure this much, then their victory would be assured. At this point, Junelva had actually regained his composure.
But they would die anyways. Junelva looked up at the sky with a distorted vision.
A false sun radiating a brilliant light.
His own origin. One of the feats made possible by the divinity he had temporarily regained with the help of his beloved Gear Rabel’s power.
At first, Junelva had wondered if this careful measure was necessary, but it seemed that it was necessary.
After all, Rabel was always right. There was no lie in her words, and no betrayal. She was worthy of love and admiration.
And then, as Junelva relaxed for a moment, he saw something shining in his field of vision.
…The long-awaited copper figure flew through the air, overlapping with the sun.
Have a nice sunday everyone!

Is it Lugis? He is so damn late! Truthfully, if her father dies, Filaret will have a good reason to resent him… even though it’s not entirely his fault.
Anyway, this ennemy is quite interesting, but poor soldiers. This is a painful end.
Thanks for the chapter.
