Chapter 410: The Ruler of Elves

After a few seconds, Eldith moved her lips slightly and said.

「…Okay. I’ll do it. I’ll ask for your cooperation though. 」

There was a trembling sound in every verse of those words.

Eldith curled up the corners of her lips and said so with great amusement.

The moment she said that statement, Eldith felt that her fingertips were frozen to the point where they could no longer tremble. She professed those words with brute force.

What was rising inside her was pure fear. It was not the pleasant trepidation she felt before when facing a difficult situation. It was almost like crying in the face of the impossible.

The back of her throat was rough, and she swallowed her saliva over and over again. Her vision begun to distort.

Even though their situation was dire, why did Eldith choose to step forward in order to face that horrifying world?

The reason was simple. It was because she was the most qualified person.

After all, Lugis was now covered in wounds. If Caria used all her strength, she would probably be able to destroy it. However, if that happened, the entire surrounding area, or at least the royal capital, would evaporate. Literally, everything would end up as smoke. That would be too destructive.

On the other hand, Filaret’s compatibility with that thing was terrible. Her technique used magical power no matter how far she went with her abilities. The small world that eroded the area around the throne was said to be a vessel of magical power.

No matter how much she tried to resist it, her magical power would be completely absorbed. If things went wrong, she could even be absorbed by it too.

When Caria reached out her hand to the side and signaled, Eldith felt the sensation of compressed air hitting her cheeks. Caria was about to unleash her fierce power.

A Giant King who once dominated the world and ruled the continent. A part of its Original Text was here now.

「A new world sounds beautiful, but beautiful things quickly perish. Eldith, I’ll do it as you told me to. It’ll be now or never. We’ve reached the limit. 」

At the same time as Caria’s voice echoed, a menacing sound reverberated the space.

A scarlet color ran through the hollow, where no light could be seen. The very air groaned and made a path for the giant sword.

Then, naturally, the sword swayed and hit the small world with a roar. The collision between the giant’s Original Text and the demon fairy’s Original Text caused an indescribable distortion in the flow of the air.

However, that collision was only momentary. In an instant, the mass of magical power changed its shape while letting out a whimper. Its spherical shape writhed, exposing its insides.

However, it felt as if the restraints that suppressed the magical power were loosened.

At the same time, the crazy magical power exploded around them. Numerous flashes of light danced beautifully in the air. Each one was accompanied by the color of destruction worthy of death.

It was the sorceress’ job to scoop them all up and suppress them. A well-crafted web of magic covered them from those deadly flashes. Filaret concentrated her magical power to create that shield of magic.

Filaret gritted her teeth and gave a small nod as if to signal. She couldn’t move in order to invoke that powerful spell. She didn’t even know how long her magic would last.

In response, Eldith spoke to Lugis.

「Well then, I’ll be doing my part, Lugis. I’ll do what’s befitting of me, as your master. 」

While entrusting her back to her beloved, Eldith spoke in a sweet voice not typical of an Elf Queen. The person she cared for said with a sigh, which seemed unbecoming of the tense situation.

「…All I can do is stand. Look at how pathetic I am. 」

“What did you say?” Eldith replied with her lips turning upwards.

「It’s your duty and privilege to support me, isn’t it? There’s no one else whom I can rely on except you.」

With that said, Eldith touched the source material of the wildly growling world created by Drigman with her slender fingers. Eldith felt her consciousness explode.
