Chapter 407: The World of Demonic Beings
A storm of bright flashes. Agonizing magical bullets. The scene where those lights fell like a rain colored the hollow. It was as beautiful as those words.
Those white lights, which left several lines in the sky, thrust at the royal palace. It showed unmatched violence, but still looked beautiful everywhere.
The hollow danced with red and white along with bright jewels. It looked like it was wrapped in a colorful pleasure.
Red, blue, black, and white. All of those jewels that showed all kinds of glow belonged to Bar Agathos. The creature whose life wanted to shine like a jewel. Her shine was now coloring this place.
Agathos had the best time when she was with her jewels. Agathos thought that was the same for those who had become jewels.
But how could someone else be as supreme as Agathos? Was there a better jewel?
That’s why she decided to give a momentary glory to Drigman. She wanted to show that supreme jewel with him.
That egotistical selfishness was Agathos’ prime idea. All in order to shake Drigman’s soul.
She was a magical devilish being, yes, but her powers and strength didn’t match that of God or the Great Demon’s. However, she believed her thoughts and existence as being the only truth. That’s why she had difficulty in understanding others.
In a sense, the magical devilish being called Bar Agathos could be the one that had been fully completed.
Only her very being was worthy. She acknowledged her value, which was absolute. The glowing jewel that was not affected by all kinds of disturbances was her Original Text.
She was the only jewel that was completed. Yes, the magical devilish being Bar Agathos.
Meanwhile, the opposing magical devilish being spoke aloud.
「…Agathos. 」
Drigman certainly muttered those words while the heat rays continued to burn his meat and nerves. His body was unlikely to be able to compete with that falling threat.
The reason why he had lost his heart and kept living was because of the surrounding power. In other words, his prolonged life was due to the benefits of the magical mechanism he created, which was consuming Agathos’ power, and the piece of the ring he got.
However, it meant just the extension of his life. Before these heat rays appeared, Drigman relied on the ring to survive, to give him life force. But it wasn’t enough to keep him alive since the ring was not complete.
Then, those lights came and left a great shine before they disappeared. A new consumption of power.
「You haven’t changed. You continue to be an idiot…! 」
On that moment, the white light got eaten by his magical mechanism. That was Drigman’s Original Text. His opened palms moved vigorously at the power of his brethren, and then the white turned back as his force ate her power.
It was white against black. It continued for several times, and it didn’t stop while the roaring sound destroyed the surroundings. Two magical devilish beings in conflict. How could they accept each other?
Agathos spread her eyes wide and gave a smile full of emotions.
「How far can you resist? I don’t think you can’t live on your own! 」
The situation boosted Agathos’ confidence slightly. Her jewels made the surroundings sparkle with heat. She didn’t know when the momentum would stop.
An injured Drigman was in front of her, but his force still captured Agathos’ power in sight. He was resolute to stand firm. It seemed that he wouldn’t succumb so soon.
Agathos, which was completed as an individual, and Drigman, which tried to be complete as a group, never shared a bond. Drigman understood that this relationship would not change forever. In the first place, the world of living was different from that of barbarians.
When Drigman was not a magical devilish being yet…There was an era when the presence of a fairy was a myth within ancient religion.
There was an ideal village of the fairy tribe, and there was a Kingdom. The King of that Kingdom was someone peaceful along with its Queen that loved all fairies.
It was a delighted era where no one was hostile. Everyone could enjoy freedom. That ideal world could last hundreds of years.
Everyone in the fairy tribe thought so. The next hundred years and the next hundred years could have that everlasting serenity. Perhaps they couldn’t imagine a different scenario.
But there was nothing undestroyable in this world, and there was no happiness that didn’t collapse. In that long history, the ancient religion that worshiped the fairy tribe was eroded by the spirit of pagans, and everything was crushed.
The ideal village transformed its appearance amidst that chaos and the fairy tribe fell into an existence working under the Spirit God.
Oh, that’s why. The King decided in his heart when he lost his beloved Queen and many of his loyal subjects.
He decided to make the pagan invaders his owners. Forsaking the fairies that gave him wisdom to find his way.
Therefore, Drigman searched for an era where his kin could finally be at peace. And he was here for that reason.
…There was an old myth of the fairy tribe. It said the world was in the palm of the almighty.
Drigman opened his palms toward the sky and spoke. The heat rays that poured without mercy were definitely destroying his body even though he tried to absorb their power. But he could not break his will.
「What can a coward who only has absurd things to say, do? Agathos. You’re definitely strong, but that’s all.」
The words professed corresponded with Drigman’s real thoughts.
Agathos’ output and annihilation power were so powerful that she didn’t accept Drigman’s words. At least her power was not something he could compete with now. She was gaining time by cutting his life short.
But Agathos couldn’t do anything more. That’s why she couldn’t stop herself.
For a moment, Drigman captured a human silhouette at the end of his view. While the rays were falling down, Drigman had opened only his eyes. Really unusual, something like a smile floated in Drigman’s mouth.
Drigman didn’t know what these emotions were. It was not anger or hatred, it was neither sorrow nor contempt.
He didn’t know what to call those emotions until the end. Drigman said to Lugis, who had collapsed amid this madness. Lugis couldn’t hear him because of the roaring sound.
「If you survive this ordeal, then I’ll acknowledge your merit for surviving. At that time…you won’t die normally anymore. Blessed are my enemies.」
Immediately after saying those words, Drigman grasped the palms raised in the sky. It looked like trying to grab something that he couldn’t grasp in the distant world.
The world distorted by Drigman turned up, and his Original Text changed into a furnace. Drigman heard the sound of the half-ring with extreme heat.
Once used to dominate humans, the crafted ring only had meaning if used to its fullest. It was much more meaningful when its power was in use.
However, the other half was in that human anyway.
Drigman focused on the ring for a moment while his consciousness disappeared. He dedicated a few blessings to that place.
Then, Drigman’s existence was extinguished. Everything he aimed for was lost, and his accomplishments had only reached a small part of the world.
A world of demonic beings where the furnace burned as long as it had fire. A great furnace meant to erode the world. An eternal ideal village that continued to eat its enemies.
Now it was just a sphere of human size, a small and weak world. But his will shall never stop its expansion. Not until the original dreamed world got covered in a devilish world.
「…Which is an idiot? Oh, really, c’mon, I truly hate you. I hate those who speak too much nonsense.」
The Jewel, which had been destroying the place with terrible prejudice, said so while shaking her red hair. Beyond her gaze, there was a bitter, lingering feeling against the person who was once her compatriot.
However, she was sure those words would not reach him anymore.

Lol I love how Drigman uses his final moments to do an indirect title namedrop. “It looked like trying to grab something that he couldn’t grasp in the distant world.”

So, if he can’t kill him, he will curse him? Or is it a blessing?
